The African National Congress (ANC) National Disciplinary Committee of Appeal (NDCA) upheld the decision of the National Disciplinary Committee to expel Mr. Jacob Zuma from the ANC. This decision reaffirms the ANC commitment to revolutionary morality, revolutionary discipline, and democratic centralism.

The country’s governing party had severed ties with the former president in July after he campaigned for an opposition party in the last general election.

In a statement issued yesterday, the Jacob G Zuma Foundation said the former statesman strongly rejected ‘the notion that the ANC, under the leadership of President Cyril Ramaphosa, has the authority to expel him from the movement to which he has dedicated his life’.

The Jacob Zuma foundation says it rejects the notion that the ANC has the authority to expel former president Jacob Zuma from the movement. The African National Congress Disciplinary Committee upheld the expulsion of Zuma.
