Junior guard Kailyn Gilbert became the heroine for the Tigers as she delivered a game-winning play in No. 7 LSU 's narrow 68-67 victory over Washington on Monday at Baha Mar Convention Center in Nassau, Bahamas.

The LSU women’s basketball team spent most of its Monday afternoon game against Washington trying to overcome a poor start.

LSU's Kailyn Gilbert dove for the ball then drove to hoop. Her shot rolled around then finally fell in as the clock ticked under a second. It proved to be the difference as LSU defeated Washington 68-67,
