More than 200 emergency and medical workers have been killed since last October, Lebanon's health ministry says. Many believe Israel's military is targeting them in its war against Hezbollah.

At least one soldier was killed and 18 others injured, some seriously, after an Israeli attack targeted an army centre in the town of Al-Amiriya on the Al-Qalila-Tyre road in southern Lebanon, the Lebanese army said on Sunday.

At least 20 people were killed in a powerful Israeli strike that flattened a multi-storey building in densely populated central Beirut, Lebanese officials said on Saturday, as more deaths were reported from Israeli attacks in eastern Lebanon.
