Hyderabad captain Tilak Varma scripted history by becoming the first batter to score three consecutive T20 centuries. The 22-year-old's record-breaking spree culminated in a jaw-dropping 151 off just 67 balls in Hyderabad's Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy opener.

Rajasthan secured their second consecutive victory in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, defeating Mizoram by 62 runs. Bharat Sharma's 74 and Deepak Hooda's quickfire 65 propelled Rajasthan to a commanding 217/6.

Tilak Varma also became the first Indian man to record a 150+ score in T20s, surpassing the previous best of Shreyas Iyer (147) to finish on 151 off 67 deliveries with 14 fours and 10 sixes.
