BOSTON -- Joonas Korpisalo made 21 saves for the Boston Bruins, who won Joe Sacco's first game as coach, 1-0 against the Utah Hockey Club at TD Garden on Thursday. Sacco replaced Jim Montgomery, who was fired on Tuesday after posting a 120-41-23 record in three seasons.

The Bruins, with juice in their legs and fury in their fists, scored a 1-0 victory over the Utah Hockey Club in Joe Sacco’s first game as interim coach Thursday night at TD Garden. Elias Lindholm snapped a 17-game goal drought and Mark Kastelic and Nikita Zadorov flexed their physicality as Boston snapped a three-game losing streak.

Elias Lindholm, whose offensive woes have been a much-discussed part of the Bruins’ early woes, broke his 17-game goal drought in the second period. On the power play and jammed home the rebound a Brad Marchand shot to put Boston up 1-0 with 7:19 left in the second.
