In time, the dynasty-era Patriots will force the Hall’s hand. Rob Gronkowski becomes Hall eligible in 2027. Tom Brady will become a first-ball Hall of Famer a year later. Bill Belichick is another lock, just like Brady. Fringe candidates like Stephen Gostkowski and Julian Edelman will be up for consideration next year.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame narrowed their list of Modern Era candidates for the Class of 2025 to 50 last month. On Wednesday, that group was cut in half. The Hall of Fame announced their 25 semifinalists to be included among the inductees next year.

The Hall announced the semifinalists Wednesday after the selection committee cut down a list of 50 nominees made by a newly created screening committee.

Adam Vinatieri, Vince Wilfork and Rodney Harrison are among the semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2025.
