Star Wars Outlaws finally came to Steam last week. Unfortunately, there’s also an issue with the latest version of Windows that makes it so the sci-fi open-world adventure and other Ubisoft games don’t work.

First reported by Bleeping Computer, Microsoft is now preventing Windows 11's 24H2 update from being sent out to machines that have a selection of recent Ubisoft games installed on them. A number of users have reported persistent, unworkable crashing, sometimes on startup, when trying to play the affected games.

An array of Ubisoft games including Star Wars Outlaws, Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora are broken on some devices running Windows 11 with version update 24H2 installed. As such,

Microsoft says it’s working with Ubisoft to fix a problem with its latest Windows 11 update that’s been crashing some games, and it’s put the update’s release on pause for devices with those games in the meantime.
