For their first game, they're in for quite a challenge, as they look to shake off their first back-to-back losses of the year against the defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers.

Turning back the clock, the 38-year-old forward had been off to one of his best starts in recent memory prior to the injury, racking up 25 points (15 goals, 10 assists) in 18 games. On Thursday, the Capitals announced Ovechkin would miss 4-6 weeks.
